The Story
“Silent Messengers” explores the unseen dialogue that exists between the conscious and subconscious mind, where wisdom often reveals itself in subtle ways. The figure is portrayed in a state of contemplation, suspended within layers that symbolize memory, emotion, experience, and spiritual awareness. The work reflects my personal belief that true insight is something we uncover within ourselves when we create space to listen.
The Inspiration
The inspiration came from observing how nature often mirrors spiritual and psychological truths, using the dragonfly as a central symbol of transformation, light, and mindful awareness. Its delicate contact with the world serves as a metaphor for the way wisdom enters our lives—not through dramatic revelation, but through quiet moments of recognition. The title refers both to these quiet symbols in the natural world and to the inner voice that gently guides us when we are receptive enough to hear it.
The Technique
This work combines contemporary figurative painting with mixed-media abstraction and layered surface development, encouraging prolonged viewing as new details emerge over time.
